I am a writer. That’s hard to say. Am I really? It’s not my job. I’ve not been published*. But I like writing. I like telling stories.
I’ve come to realise that I want more. It’s hard to imagine a chef who cooks meals that no one eats. Similarly it’s hard to write stories that no one reads.
I’ve tried to get published. I made a fancy website with all sorts of interactions, reviews, news about books and other things designed to entice people back. I’ve tried to get noticed. It wasn’t satisfying.
Recently I realised that I don’t want to put time into all that. I just want to write… and be read.
Hence this simplified website. No fluff – just stories. I hope you enjoy some of them and if you do then please share.

You can see why it is hard to call myself a writer – it doesn’t begin with the letter C.
* I’ve not had fiction published. I’ve had journal papers, training materials and news articles published. I have edited and written for a magazine about asylum seekers and refugees. I’ve also had a computer game published way back in the days when games came on disks attached to magazines.
